Frosch Rewards & Incentives
Overview
Frosch Rewards & Incentives (“Frosch”) offers comprehensive incentive management services for corporate motivation and performance improvement programs. Their unique reward platform allows users to redeem points for everything from travel to merchandise. Looking to improve their platform, Frosch began development on an innovative new ‘Points Plus Plastic’ module which allows users to purchase supplemental reward points using their personal credit card.
Soon after beginning integration to a popular gateway provider, project lead and Sr. VP of Incentives, Melanie Miller-Pusateri identified some concerns that caused her to halt her team’s programming efforts. “We realized the checkout process was introducing some security requirements that could add prohibitive costs to the program and, more importantly, we weren’t happy with the user experience.”

Traditional redirect services interrupt the checkout flow and surrender branding control to the outsourced partner. “I do not like 3rd party payment pages that disrupt the checkout flow process and soon after beginning integration to a gateway provider I realized that was exactly what we were going to end up with,” said Pusateri. “I’m not an IT person but I knew what we needed.” After querying search engines for an alternative, Pusateri found a blog describing exactly what she was looking for - a hosted payment page using HTML CLONETM technology that delivered a secure, branded checkout experience to the user. “I feel that if a company has their own secure, fully branded, payment page it reflects that they are a more established and credible company. Jumping from your company’s’ shopping cart to another company’s ugly checkout page is not going to instill confidence; they may even abandoned the sale.” Pusateri immediately contacted IP Commerce and shifted integration efforts to the IP Commerce Platform using the Commerce Hosted Payment Page.
Even after having to switch merchant providers and shift development efforts, Pusateri says it’s all been worth it. "I couldn't be happier. The [Hosted Payment Page] minimizes our PCI compliance obligations and costs and meets all of our marketing needs. It has the same look and feel as our site and we’re able to easily serve multiple clients.”
Frosch reports that 90% of their clients have added the new ‘Points Plus Plastic’ feature to their sites. The ‘Points Plus Plastic’ service is offered at no additional cost to their clients.
