Commerce Toolkit for Services

Making commerce service delivery to merchants easier, faster and less expensive

Payments and commerce service providers need a way to effectively deliver their services to merchants and small businesses. Historically, this challenge was daunting because it involved connecting disparate technologies and platforms.

Merchants use a mix of hardware and software, from point-of-service terminals to software applications running on their mobile phones to eCommerce web sites. Banks and service providers have their own, often unique, platform requirements. In the past, expanding service offerings could only happen with costly, one-off integrations to bring the pieces together.

Commerce Toolkit for Services, offered by IP Commerce, connects service providers and the software companies who develop commerce-enabled applications to the IP Commerce Platform. This provides a novel approach to creating and introducing new services without customized integrations.

The IP Commerce Platform creates a transaction processing flow that ties together merchants and service providers through proprietary commerce-based code standards developed, owned and provided by IP Commerce.

Commerce Toolkit for Services Contains:

  • Service Translation Module (STM) – an installable Windows service to build adaptors that translate PTLS transactions into the native languages accepted by Service Provider systems.
  • PTLS Web Services Description Language (WSDL) – a reference file to create a PTLS-enabled web services application for receiving payment-related transaction messages from a PTLS-enabled server.
  • PTLS XSDs – these reference files that contain the XML Schema Definitions for the most-recent version of PTLS Specification and can be used as reference material when testing transactions or creating an adaptor.

Note: Commerce Toolkit for Services was formerly known as the IPPF Transaction Services SDK. The IP Commerce Platform was formerly known as the IP Payments Framework (IPPF). Their new names will be reflected in the next release of the toolkit and the platform.
