After experience the pain of expense reports, firsthand, Expensify saw an opportunity to streamline a process that is universally distasteful. By coupling usage of common tools (smartphones) held by the application consumer and software leveraged by the back office (QuickBooks®), with complex technology involving multiple services, both the consumer and the employers needs are satisfied.

This, in and of itself, would be sufficient. By including commerce services into their solution, Expensify is able to close the loop on the solution from expense incurred to reimbursement via direct deposit.
